Upload Segments.

You can segment your data however your like in your response exports. You can then upload those segments to your Glow survey using the response IDs found in column A of your response exports.

To do this, first export your survey responses (to csv, xlsx, or spss-xlsx).

Then in your Response Exports (in Excel)

1. Add a new column anywhere in your data for your segments, e.g. a "BDM" column has been added to Colum L below
2. Filters your data by each of your segments:
   1. Click on Row 1 in Excel
   2. Go to the "Data" tab and click "Filter"
   3. Use the Filter dropdown to filter your data by each of your segments.

3. Copy the response IDs in column A, e.g. below we've copied the Response IDs for the BDM: AD

4. Go to the "Capture tab" in your Glow survey

Then, in the Capture tab...

1. Go to the "Responses" tab
2. Click "Segment"

3. Tick 'Add'
4. Name your segment, e.g. BDM: AD
5. Paste your Response IDs
6. Click 'Save'

Repeat this for every segment in your data file. If you have 5 BDMs, then you'll need to repeat this process 5 times. If you have 10 segments, then 10 times.

Once you've uploaded all your segments using the "Capture > Responses > Segment" feature, go to your "Analyse" tab, then your "Filters" tab.

Then....

1. Hit "Create"
2. Name your filter, e.g. BDM: AD
3. Select "Segment" as your filter condition and select your Segment, e.g. BD: AD

4. Hit "Done"

Your filter will be added to the bottom of your filters list.

You can then duplicate that filter as many times as needed and can even edit all your filters at once if they're all ticked when you click the "Edit" icon.  

You can then cut your data by using the '+Filter' button in your tables OR refine your data by clicking the '+Prefilter' button above your charts.
